Finca La Reforma was established by Rafael Alvarez L. in 1892 in the slopes of the Santa Ana Volcano. Now, it is owned by Hermanos Alvarez Diaz, the fourth generation from this coffee family. This lot comes exclusively from Kenyan SL28 variety. This exceptional variety coffee plants are grown with the shadow tree technique, meaning they are planted under the shade of taller native trees. The lot has been prepared under high quality standards set by El Borbollon mill which has more than a hundred years of experience growing and exporting coffees.
This coffee is processed using the Anaerobic Natural method, where the coffee cherries are fermented in a sealed tank without oxygen, resulting in a raisin-like appearance. This unique process creates a complex and distinctive flavor. Grown at an altitude of 1.200 – 1.500 meters above sea level in Â
Kintamani, Bali, this coffee uses the USDA, Cobra, and Kopyol varieties, which provide the unique flavor characteristics of the region
